Carer Positive Celebrate their 10th Anniversary at the Scottish Parliament
We were delighted to celebrate our 10th anniversary at the ‘Carer Positive: 10 Years of Carer Friendly Employers’ event at the Scottish Parliament on Tuesday evening. The event was sponsored by Michelle Thompson MSP and supported by Centrica.
It was lovely to see so many carers, employers and MSPs that we have worked with over the past 10 years, as well as connecting with a few new faces.
In addition to Michelle Thompson MSP, we also heard from Nick Baird, Chair of Carers UK, and Tom Arthur MSP who reflected on being the first Member of the Scottish Parliament to be recognised as a Carer Positive employer. Marie McCann from Centrica and Ray Higgins from Police Scotland also kindly shared their experiences of being working carers, as well as discussing the workplace support available in their respective organisations.
We were also thrilled to take the opportunity to present Leuchie, who are one of our most recent employers to be recognised as Carer Positive, with their framed award certificate.
