Awards! Awards!

We were thrilled that two organisations earned awards from us this week. This first was Impact Funding Partners who are new to the Carer Positive family, earning their Established level award. From the application they submitted, was evident that there is a good foundation of support for carers within Impact Funding Partners and that this links well to health and wellbeing support aimed at all employees. In addition, they have a dedicated Carers Policy which helps communicate the commitment of the organisation to supporting staff with caring responsibilities. 

The second award this week went to Social Security Scotland, who achieved their Established level award this week. Although we love to see new organisations become Carer Positive, it is also really valuable when they move up to the next level of the award. Support for carers is well embedded within the culture of the organisation and well communicated throughout to employees. With support from existing Scottish Govenment policies, Social Security Scotland also has it's own People Strategy, which shows real depth to a people focused culture, with respect to individual challenges and circumstances.

Well done and a huge congratulations to everyone involved in creating these supportive workplaces for working carers!
