This week we have been promoting a new event happening early next year; FlexibleWorkFest from our friends at Family Friendly Working Scotland.

The festival is taking place on January 30th, 2020 at Whitespace, Edinburgh and is the perfect event for any employer looking to introduce or establish flexible working in their organisation, as they aim to "challenge what you know about ways of working".

There will be a diverse line up including business leaders from leading employers such as Aviva, Deloitte, QuorumandWhitespace who will be sharing their experiences; giving examples of best practice that create engagement with employees and drive business growth. The event will also be a fantastic opportunity to grow your network and get peer support from other likeminded organisations.

There are many different ways to make work more flexible, suitable for different individuals and types of work. Although not always essential, flexible working can be a huge benefit to working carers as it can help them fit their work around doctors/ hospital appointments and other caring responsibilities. Ultimately, making even small changes where needed can help carers to stay in work while helping prevent unexpected absence, presenteeism and losing valuable members of staff for employers.

Early bird tickets for FlexibleWorkFest are on sale now and all the information can be found here on the Family Friendly Working Scotland website.
