SQA Presented with Established Award

We were delighted to meet visit the Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA) offices on 4th November to present the team with their Established level Carer Positive award.

The strong foundation of support for staff at SQA has further progressed over the past few years with significant development of the support in place for carers within the organisation and with their Carers Policy.

They now also have an established Carers Network and Carers Support Hub offering a wealth of information and resources. This comes in addition to specific line manager training which is valuable and a great support for management teams to open up conversations around caring, understand who can be a carer, how to help individuals to identify themselves, and seek the support that they might need.

This and other developments in support for members of staff who are carers mean that SQA more than meet the Established Carer Positive level and we look forward to seeing how this support SQA will continue to develop in the future.
